Masaharu Fukuyama sings theme for "Tokyo Tower" movieMarch 1, 2007
The popularity of last December's album "Gonen mono" has lead Masaharu Fukuyama to announce a new single called "Tokyo nimo attanda" charted for release on April 11, 2007. Fukuyama, a Nagasaki prefecture native, is scheduled to do a nation-wide roadshow starting on April 14. The new single is the theme song of the "Tokyo Tower" movie (in Japanese, "Tokyo Taawaa Okan to Boku to, Tokidoki, Oton"), which also opens April 14. The B-side song is "Suteki no Kimi," featuring Australian Gemma Ward, who is the model for Beauté de Kosé "Esprique Precious" cleansing cream.
In real life, Tokyo Tower is 333m (1092 ft) tall and is used to broadcast Japan's NHK, TV Asahi, TBS, TV Tokyo, Radio Nikkei, and nine other television and radio stations. The tower is painted white and "international orange" to comply with Japanese aviation law and it has its own earthquake detector. Masaharu Fukuyama Official Website:
