When someone thinks about Asian music today, they tend to think about “those ominous Asian-sounding chords” from old WWII movies or an example from Ryuichi Sakamoto's soundtrack to “The Last Emperor” from several decades ago.  To a further extent, someone might recall the infamous level 1-1 theme from Super Mario Brothers.

We here at AudioAsia aim to clear this up by bringing you the most recent news, reviews, and information regarding Asian music, with a current emphasis on Japan and Korea, but may branch out later.  We want to help people understand that they can enjoy Asian music whether they know Asian languages or not.
